Mr. Hayes is renowned as one of the premier litigation strategists and trial lawyers in America in the area of music litigation and other complex intellectual property disputes. He has practiced in the areas of business and entertainment litigation for nearly 30 years. He has also represented many celebrities (such as the Estate of Andy Warhol and Gloria Estefan) and non-celebrities in substantial actions involving personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice. He has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts in New York and throughout the country, and has represented some of the most established companies and prominent people in the entertainment and business arenas. Mr. Hayes has been an adjunct professor in the areas of entertainment law and litigation. Before joining Simmons Hanly Conroy, Mr. Hayes was the co-director of litigation in the New York office of Manatt Phelps and prior to that a founding partner of Parcher, Hayes & Snyder, which for many years was one of the leading boutique litigation firms in the country.
