The firm has assumed a leadership role in many multi-jurisdictional litigations, and its members sit on the Plaintiffs' Executive Committees in the two consolidated federal 9/11 cases, in the ephedra litigation, in the Bextra and Celebrex litigations (holding court-appointed posts on both the state and the federal plaintiffs’ committees) in the Zyprexa litigation and in the gadolinium contrast dye litigation. In the last three years alone the firm, working with co-counsel, has recovered for its clients close to half a billion dollars in settlements of multi-party litigations.
The majority of the firm's work is referred by other law firms seeking counsel highly experienced in the litigation and trial of complex matters. The firm's matters are handled on a variety of billing bases, including contingency, mixed contingency, flat fee and hourly. All of its plaintiffs' personal injury matters, however, are handled on a contingency basis. As a general philosophy, the firm approaches each case as if it is going to be tried; in this way, clients are best served by a demonstrated ability and resolve to take each case to verdict. |
